Tukwila police recover drugs and money in response to calls from stolen flatbed trailer

The Tukwila Police Department announced that police recovered the drugs and money on Thursday after they received a call from a man who said they found their stolen flatbed trailer being towed by an SUV.
Just after 1:00 p.m., police received a call that the trailer was being towed in the 6800 block of South 180th Street.
When they arrived, they found an SUV parked on a scale at the Bow Lake transfer station, with a man and a woman inside.
The car had severe damage to the steering column and was not owned by either a man or a woman.
The flatbed trailer, whose VIN was painted over and scraped off, was found to be stolen, but it was not, in fact, the trailer of the person who had originally called 911.
Both the men and women in the SUV have warrants. During a search, law enforcement officers found a large amount of fentanyl, methamphetamine and cocaine, as well as large amounts of cash.
Both the man and the woman confessed to the police that they had taken drugs. They were taken to the hospital for evaluation in order to be taken to a prison where they would be registered.
